Did you Hear? - On August 20th, the OC Register reported Newsweek Magazine’s ”America’s Top 500 High Schools.” YLHS is one of eight Orange County schools listed in the top 500 high schools across the nation. The evaluation process included – standardized test scores, preparation for college, graduation rate, student retention, along with several other measures. Only 58 California high schools made the list. Congratulations YLHS students, staff and community!!

The Art of Living – “The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he’s always doing both.” James Michener
