Principal's Weekly Update #211

 Congratulations to Coach Fortenbaugh, his staff and the wrestling program - for wining their fourth straight league championship this year. They defeated cross-town rival El Dorado 45-18. All three levels of wrestling went undefeated in league this year. Great job and congratulations!
 
Congratulations again to the varsity wrestlers for winning the Century Conference Championships on Wednesday night in our home gym. The Mustangs qualified all 13 wrestlers for the CIF championships taking place February 19th & 20th at Grand Terrace HS in Riverside. Qualifiers included: Malik Isterabadi, Brandan Steinman, Tyler Tagayun, Max Matles, Aaron Ojeda, Chris Lugo, Josh Roizman, Steve Hill, Brandon Gansert, Dillon Herrera, George Milan, Keegan Williams and Gavin King. Good Luck in CIF!!
 
National Signing Day – February 3rd - Congratulations to nine of our Mustang athletes and scholars! They signed their Letter of Intent for universities they have chosen. The following students signed with their family and friends looking on. More Good News from Disneyland Resorts Dreamers & Doers – Shining Star Program - Two of our students will be recognized as “Shining Stars” in the Disneyland Dreamers & Doers Celebration luncheon. Angela Chuang 11th grade and Seung-Hee Yoo 12th grade entered the competition with applications in two focus areas. Strengthening Community and Think Creatively. Each application represented their individual commitment and actions in creating a brighter tomorrow. Congratulations Angela and Seung-Hee!

A Big Thank You - to Greg Kemp and Janice Weber for our “Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies” workshop last Monday. It is great to see the activities we are using to connect with kids that are supported by our district and learn new strategies as we start 2nd semester.
