Principal's Weekly Update #240

2017 8th Grade Round-Up - last Wednesday March 22nd, filled both sides of the gym with students and
parents. We started the evening at 5:30 with the MBA Academy presentation to over 100 students and parents who applied to the 2017 Mustang Business, Culinary and Hospitality Academy. At 6:00, students and parents participated in the Mustang Booster, Athletic and Club Fair before a presentation in the gym. Over 600 parents attended counselor presentations in the band room, library and forum theater. 400 students stayed in the gym for “get connected” activities and presentations from our elective programs. A Big Thank You to the following people who made this night happen:
• Shea Runge for organizing the booster fair and student “get connected” activities
• Greg Kemp & Jamie Jauch for setting up the technology
• Nancy Coulter, Peyton Pike & Lorri Walls for their presentations on registration, class selections and 4-year high school plans
• Jeff Platt and Lisa Tully for presenting athletic programs and summer participation schedules
• Samiya Hai & Jenny Messick for coordinating the MBA introduction
• Jose Aldama, Kino Oaxaca & Bill Ray for help directing “traffic” on campus
• Fred Fonseca and crew for a great looking campus
• Bincins Garcia & Jazz 1 for great music – and pretty fair drummer!
