Welcome to Denise Sappington – as our new office staff member doing athletic clearances. Denise has been working with our staff as a Special Ed Aide. She has been filling in the spot for the last couple of weeks and will start the new assignment on Monday, April 17th. The front desk next to Denise will be her new home. Congrats Denise!!
PTSA Academic Mustang Awards - last Monday, recognized 462 students for earning a weighted 4.0 or higher. A Special Thank You to Lynda Wynn and Kimberly Dole, co-chairs for the event, and our Yorba Linda High School PTSA for organizing the event and honoring our students with certificates and medals for outstanding grades. Also, thank you to our counselors, Nancy Coulter, Peyton Pike and Lorri Walls for presenting all of our award recipients. It was a great night to celebrate our students and a true example of what PTSA and YLHS staff can do together.

Orchestra received Unanimous Superiors at Festival this week! Color Guard came in 3rd at the Valencia Guard Tournament – and Percussion Ensemble took 1st place at the Colony High School tournament!! Go Mustangs!! Thank you to Bincins Garcia & Phil Mortensen!

“Every 15 Minutes” - on Tuesday and Wednesday, sent a very powerful message to our juniors and seniors about drinking and driving. This two-day event takes many hours of prep work, along with communication to many different agencies involved in the accident scene and follow-up assembly. A Big Thank You to Shea Runge, Deputy Nick Doty, staff , students and the following community members and supporters that present such a powerful message for everyone to see and live through.
