PYLUSD Bond Rating Increased (4/30/2010)
Moody’s Investors Service announced that the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s bond rating was upgraded from Aa3 to Aa2 as part of the firm’s conversion to a unified global rating scale. This places municipal issuers, such as school districts and cities, on the same rating scale used for private industry. In comparison, Moody’s currently rates the State of California’s general obligation bond at Baa1 – which is five notches below the school district rating. Click to read further... |

YLHS Athletic Physicals (4/20/2010)
Yorba LInda High School will be doing high school physicals on Monday, May 24th from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the YLHS gym. Future Mustang middle school students are welcome from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. (no check-in's after 4:00 p.m.) Physical forms can be downloaded on this website under Athletics - then Athletic Forms. Parents must complete the top section prior to the physical and have student bring form with them to physical. Also - signatures are required from the parent and student. |

A student at Yorba Linda High School has recently been reported with chickenpox. Chickenpox is not usually a serious illness; however, any person who develops chickenpox should stay at home until the rash has completely crusted over (usually about 5 days from the time the rash started) to prevent further spread of infection. Storm Update: 2pm, 01-19-2010. During the past hour, YLHS was hit with a major storm cell, including rain, high winds, and lightning. Students were kept in their 5th period classes for an extended period until the storm danger passed. The weather is now back to "normal". |

New Year to include some classroom changes (12/18/2009)
When students report on Monday, January 4th, 2010 they will be issued new classroom locators. Many (but not all) classes will be in the newly completed Classroom Wing. Some classes, including; Science, Art, Photography, and Computer classes, will continue in the 300 and 400 buildings. Students should refer to their schedule locator for exact changes. |
