A Big Thank You - to PTSA, staff, students and 50 community members who participated in our 2014 Career Day. PTSA Career Day coordinators, Jennifer Johnson and Tammy Brubaker worked many, many hours to plan and contact our community members to talk with our students about careers, education and what it takes to be a successful employee. Guest speakers ranged from the mayor of Yorba Linda, 1st responders, judges, doctors and several local businesses, including Disney, Pizza Hut and Chick-fil-a. The message was the same, “Find a career you love and you will never work a day in your life.” Again, thank YLHS PTSA, Kristen You, Hospitality Chairs, Regina Bernabe and Melinda Shank, for the wonderful luncheon and for the rest of the PTSA officers for all you do at Yorba Linda HS. This was a real team effort from parents, students, teachers, office staff, campus security and custodians to make this a day to remember. Check out the YLHS website for Career Day pictures.
Congratulations to Fall Sports League Champions – 2014 - Men’s Water Polo, Women’s Tennis, Men’s XCountry and Women’s Golf for their 1st Century League Championship. Good luck to our Mustangs as they compete in CIF!

Jaclyn Chavez, her assistants and our volleyball athletes for a great job competing in our new conference. We are so proud of each and every program!!
YLHS Theatre Presents – The Diviners – starting Thursday, November 13 – 15 @ 7:00 p.m. and November 15 & 22 at 2:00 p.m. We have such a talented group of actors! Try to get out and see them perform.
FYI – Thursday, November 13 – 6:30 p.m. – YLHS will present “PYLUSD Academic Showcase” at the Yorba Linda Community Center. We will talk to parents and students looking at our four comprehensive high schools in PYLUSD. Our agenda will include YLHS – by the numbers i.e. API 905, #5 in Orange County, and 43 league titles and counting, colleges and scholarships. This is a great evening to showcase YLHS and everything the staff and community does to “connect” our students. Go Mustangs!
