Principal's Weekly Update #175

Congratulations to Mock Trial - for their very 1st win against El Modena on Thursday night. This is the first time YLHS has competed in the Mock Trial competition. We are very proud of our Mustangs!! Good luck as you compete through the season! Congrats also to our advisors – Lisa Tully and Noelle Toxqui!

Did you Hear? - YLHS Staff and students presented at the PYLUSD Academic Showcase Thursday evening at the Yorba Linda Community Center, along with Dr. Domene and School Board members. There were over 300 parents and students in attendance to hear about our academic and co-curricular programs. A Big Thank You to – coordinators Jamie and Greg, along with Phil Mortenson and his orchestra students, Catherine Han, Evan Alire, Gabriella Moussa, Quinn Bogereif, Jill Hirsh and Andrew Tang. Also, thank you to Lorri, Nancy and Peyton representing Student Services; Shea and ASB President, Ali Stockton talking about leadership and ASB; Jenni Messick and student, Katie Watts for culinary; Jeff Platt representing athletics; Rey Lejano representing staff and coaches; students Scout Lepore, Andrew Dirks, Ali Kolb and Roger Fang; PTSA President Kristen You and her crew and a special thank you to Rich Cadra and his video production class for a terrific five minute “YLHS campus life and their Mustang Mix – season 4”.

It was a terrific evening and we all love to talk about YLHS and the great educational experience we offer.
