Where I'm From Poem in Google Classroom

Where I'm From Poem

Today in class, you are going to take some time to write a poem which tell us a little about yourself.  This assignment is inspired by a poem titled, "Where I'm From", written by George Ella Lyon.  Below are two templates to aid you in writing your own, "Where I'm From" poem.  The attachment below titled, "iamfrompoem.pdf" is simply a template.  The attachment titled, "I_Am_From_Poem(2).pdf"  contains a slightly different template, as well as the original "Where I'm From" poem, and a poem written by the author of this template to serve as an example.  Finally, there is an attached Google Document with my "Where I'm From" poem.  I did this to share a little about myself, as well as to provide you with another example.  You can use either template, or a combination of the two, to help guide you through the writing process.  One of the templates asks you to insert "a plant, tree, or natural item from your past". By natural item, they mean something from nature, as opposed to something that is man-made.  Really put some thought into this please. The first thing that pops into your head is not always the best. I changed what I chose to include for some of my memories several times as I thought back through my childhood and my past.  I truly hope you have a fun time reminiscing about your past and writing your poem  I would like you to type out your poem on a Google Document, and then upload and submit your final product as an attachment to this assignment. You have until midnight tonight to submit your poem.
