3) For zip code, use "02912", choose "Home" and click "Start Shopping"

 

4) When it asks you to "Choose City", choose "Providence, RI" and click "Continue"

6) Using the search field in the top left corner, add all of the items that you will buy on a regular basis at a grocery store. This includes food items and non-food items. Use the shopping lists that we created in class a few weeks back.

 

7) When you are finished, click "Review Order"

9) Next to the price of each of the items that you will not buy each week, add a divided by sign and the number of weeks that you expect that item to last you. Make the calculation and add it below the price (see the picture example)

 

10) On the right side or on a different piece of paper, list all of the items' prices (use the adjusted prices for the items you won't buy each week) and get a grand total. This number represents how much you will need to budget for grocery shopping each week. 

 

 

 

 

 

Your Stock Project is due on Tuesday January 19th, 2016

 

The first two pages of your stock packet tells you exactly what is required and the order that everything needs to be in. 

 

Your project must be submitted in a folder and must have a printed title page. 

 

To avoid a 20% late penalty for each day the project is late, the project must reach me by the time that your class starts on Tuesday. If you are absent that day, it must be submitted to me by a friend, a parent or scanned copy e-mailed to me unless your absence is cleared with the attendance office with a doctor's note. 

 

 

Type out a 1 page explanation of some of the things that you are going to do to stay happy. In this one page explanation, you will use two paragraphs to convey to me the types of things that will keep you entertained.

 

Choose two stocks that you have sold and type out the body paragraphs you will use for your stock project. Make sure you follow all of the requirements detailed in the stock project packet. 

 

In addition to printing it out to turn in, make sure you save it in a file that you can access later when you work on the rest of that stock project report

 

This exam will be on all material (except for 'On Your Own' topics)  discussed after "Prices". For instance,

 

For Wednesday, January 6th, you will need to turn in two bar graphs for 2 stocks that you have sold.

Go through the news stories and find an article that has a lot of discussion about that stock. 

 

Type out a half page paragraph where you summarize what has happened to that company. You have to use your own words or you have to properly cite the words you used using MLA format.

 

In that same paper, type out a 2nd paragraph that's at least half a page where you discuss why that current event would have an effect on the value of that company. 

 

Remember that every paper that you type, must follow the YLHS Research Paper Style Guide (double spaced, proper heading, 12 point font, times new roman font, etc.)

 

Print out the article and staple it to the back of your write-up
