Welcome to Yorba Linda High School – Opening Day – September 8, 2009 – was a very special day for our students, staff and community. 950 freshmen and sophomore students gathered in our new gym for announcements and opening day activities before taking a tour of their new school with first period teachers. Parents were also given the opportunity to see the campus and experience the excitement of our very first day at YLHS.

	Student with Chicken Pox A student at Yorba Linda High School has recently been reported with chickenpox. Chickenpox is not usually a serious illness; however, any person who develops chickenpox should stay at home until the rash has completely crusted over (usually about 5 days from the time the rash started) to prevent further spread of infection. If your child develops a rash that may be chickenpox, please consult with your doctor and notify us at 714/986-7500 ext. 14033.
