A Big Thank You to Stacy & the Language Arts Department – for our “Step Up to Writing” review/activity last Monday. “Working together – Works” and the YLHS staff “Works”. Thank you to everyone for participating in helping our students improve their writing across the curriculum.
Our WASC Chair – Jan Oonchitti – was very impressed with our YLHS scores and our campus. After her tour of the campus, we had the opportunity to sit with her and look at a variety of suggestions to help make our report the best it can be. Her input was greatly appreciated and let us know we are on track for our March 2013 visitation. A Big Thank You to Dan Dupont, Joey Davis and all our focus leaders for getting all the “great” things that happen at YLHS down on paper to help us look at where we want to go with our action plan for the next six years.
School Site Council – is up and running for 2012-2013. Joey has scheduled the first meeting for October 17th. At that meeting students, staff and parents will be reviewing data from 2011-12, along with SSC procedures and future meeting agendas.
