Men’s Water Polo update - The men’s water polo team beat Ocean View High School Wednesday evening 11 to 8 to advance to the Finals of the 2013 Division 7 CIF Men’s Water Polo Championship Game. The game is scheduled for this Saturday, 11/23, at 10:00 a.m. at Wollett Aquatics Center, 4601 Walnut Ave, Irvine against Segerstrom High School. Good luck to our athletes and coach Shardad and his assistants. Go Mustangs!!
YLHS Band and Guard - have received an invitation to the SCSBOA Band Championships this Saturday, 11/23 at Mt. Carmel High School. Only the “top twelve” schools in each class are identified to participate in the Southern California Championship. Good luck Band and Guard, under the direction of Bincins Garcia!
Did you Also Hear? – Women’s Golf - Mustang golfer Brooke Graebe, a junior, placed 8th in the State CIF Golf Championship on Wednesday. The State Golf Championship includes the top 54 golfers in the state regardless of their division. Brook also was the top finisher out of Orange County. Great job Brooke and coach Dennis Riggs! Cross Country - YLHS Cross Country runner, Rachel Iida, will complete this Saturday, 11/23, in the CIF Finals at Mt. Sac. Good luck, Rachel, and Coach Dave Miller!
