Welcome! I am so excited to start the 2023-2024 school year with you. We are going to have a great year. Being a Mustang is a great honor and I am ready to start this journey together.

- Welcome to Yorba Linda High School. Saying that I am thrilled to be here is an understatement. When I look back upon my childhood, I would have never guessed that I would be here. Surprisingly, I used to live right down the street from YLHS and I even learned how to ride my bike in the parking lot of the school. I can honestly say that much of my life is like a bike ride. What an adventure! I am proud to say that I am a product of the Placentia- Yorba Linda Unified School District. I attended Fairmont Elementary School, Bernardo Yorba Middle School, and Esperanza High School. After graduating from Esperanza, I attended California Baptist University in Riverside, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in English; my teaching credential; and my Master's degree in English. Teaching is my passion and I cannot wait to share my ideas with all of you. Needless to say, it is an honor to be a part of the Mustang family. It is exactly where I want to be. I have been married for 19 years to Mr. Shay who teaches at Travis Ranch and I have a 14 year old son, Ben. Together, the three of us love to travel, cheer on the Oregon State Beavers, and hang out with our families. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and taking pictures.
