Usually, meetings start towards the end of September - please listen to the school announcements for more details. German Club will meet once a month and the German National Honor Society once every quarter during lunch.

 

 

 

Students in German 2 Honors, German 3 Honors and German4/AP will take the German National Exam in January of 2024. This computer-based multiple choice exam is offered through the American Association of Teachers of German and tests listening and reading/grammar skills. In addition to being a great preparation for some areas of the AP German exam, this test gives students the opportunity to earn awards and prizes and to compete for a trip to Germany. More information will follow. Interested high-performing German 1 students will have the opportunity to take the exam in April 2024.

 

 

 

Students who are interested in hosting a boy or girl from Germany (with the possibility of visiting their exchange partner in Germany the following summer) should check out the Friendship Connection. I have been involved with the program for several years, and the experience has been very positive. We had a student stay with us in 2014 and visited his family in Germany in 2016. All my students who either hosted or went to Germany truly enjoyed the exchange. This is not a school-sponsored activity.
