Final Exam Instructions:
*** The test covers chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6
*** It will be worth either 100 OR 150 points (I haven't decided yet)
*** It is not multiple choice -- it will be taken through webassign (as with all of the other tests this year) -- ALL problems must be solved using algebraic and trigonometric techniques as shown in class.
*** Graphing calculators are allowed -- BUT they cannot be used as a way of solving a problem. You can use it to check an answer. You can use it to help you make computations go faster.
But in your work, I cannot see : "use calculator to get my answer".
*** If your homework grade for the semester is 90% (or above), then I will drop your lowest "chapter test" score. You may not have the score on the final exam dropped (even if it is your lowest score). The final exam score does not replace the lowest test score.
*** The questions for the final exam come from the problems assigned for the chapter reviews (there should be no problem you don't recognize or haven't seen before).
*** No outside sources are allowed to help you on this test. You will receive a zero for the entire test if you do.
*** You can use your notes to help you during the test.

Please study and prepare in the days leading up to the test. If you know the material, you will finish in time. If you don't know the material, you will run out of time. Please study!!
You are not allowed to use outside sources to help you on the test. You will get a zero for the entire test.
You must SHOW ALL WORK (as demonstrated in class) to get credit for each question. If you don't show work OR show work done another method (than what was taught in class), then you will not receive credit for the problem.
On the graphing problems, you must show complete tables (with transformations clearly labeled) as shown in class for credit. If you do not show ALL work, you will not receive any credit for these answers.
Notes and pre-written unit circles are NOT allowed on this test. You can use 2 minutes of your test time to write one out on scratch paper.
You are allowed to use your graphing calculator.
ZOOMERS: It will be taken through webassign.net (you will only get ONE submission per question, please be careful and double-check what you have typed in before you hit the submit button.
It is due to Google Classroom at 9:52 am on Friday 1/15/21. (The test must be turned in as one pdf).
Your name need to be in the top right corner of each page (you may want to get them ready before the test starts -- to save a little time).
ROOMERS: It will be taken on paper. You are allowed to use your graphing calculator. Notes and pre-written unit circles are NOT allowed on this test. The test will be returned to me at the end of the period. You do not submit anything to google classroom.

Chapter 4 Test is scheduled for Friday 12/4/20.
You must SHOW ALL WORK (as demonstrated in class) to get credit for each question. If you don't show work OR show work done another method (than what was taught in class), then you will not receive credit for the problem.

You are allowed to use your graphing calculator.
Notes are NOT allowed on this test.
There are THREE questions that have you solve for x
Part A: Find the exact solution of the exponential equation in terms of logarithms
Part B: Use a calculator to find an approximation to the solution rounded to six decimal places
DO NOT DO PART B -- It is not worth any points (and will waste time).
Only do part A on these type of questions.
There are TWO graphs. You must make tables for them to get credit for the problem.

Due:
The chapter 1 test is scheduled for Tuesday (9/29/20) from 8:15 to 9:30.
We will take the first few minutes of class to answer questions, then start the test.
I completed the test in 9 minutes, so I will give you 5 times that amount, 45 minutes. (Normally, the multiplier is times 3 -- but because of technology issues, you get extra time).
You need to SHOW ALL WORK (completely) for credit. Even if you have the correct answer, with no proper work, you will not get the points on it.
You must submit your work to google classroom by 9:30 am on Tuesday (9/29/20).
Your name must be at the top of each page (you may want to prepare that in advance).
It will be taken through webassign.net (but you only have ONE submission per question). (on the homework, you can retry a problem 20 times -- but on this test, just no fixing your answers).
There are two questions that have you graph the answer -- you do not need to graph them (I have zeroed out the points on the graph part of the problem -- part B) -- SKIP GRAPHING
