This course provides instruction in the elements of geometry with emphasis on proofs and deductive thinking; includes coordinate geometry; utilizes relationships of parallel and perpendicular lines, congruency, and similarity; develops and applies the Pythagorean theorem; elementary constructions and loci, area of plane figures, surface area and volume of solids.
