Course Description:
Biology is a two-semester course that meets the CSU and UC requirement for a laboratory science course. The course will emphasize topics described in the California State Life Science Content Standards with primary emphasis on cellular biology, genetics, ecology, evolution and physiology. The labs and class activities are designed to reinforce the topics discussed during lectures and the material in the textbook. Students are expected to take the STAR exam in biology during the spring.
