Concert Choir (Period 0)

This course is a beginning mixed (men and women) choral group.  Concert Choir is designed for students to learn basic music theory and formal vocal training as well as give the students exposure to perform as a large choral ensemble.  This course provides students with opportunities to sing music from a wide variety of musical styles and genres including: classical, Musical Theater, American Spirituals, Jazz, Folk, and Contemporary.  Students will learn about basic sight-reading, ear training, vocal production, and musicianship.  Outside performances and events are required including two District Concerts (Winter/Spring), Holiday Concert (Jingles), Seasons of Love Concert in February, and the Spring Concert.
