Thank you to Jason and ASB – for a very successful International Food Day last Friday. 18 clubs participated in our 1st food day! This is a great fundraiser for clubs and a lot of fun for students to participate in!
Canned Food Drive – will start November 9th and run through November 20th. ASB, along with the support of your 3rd period classes, will collect canned food for “2nd Harvest of Orange County.” Watch for more information on collection dates and items to donate.
Friday, November 13 – Rally/Assembly – in our gym. “It is a Puzzle World.” The focus of the rally is to get all students connected to YLHS.
YLHS School Site Council – will hold our 1st meeting on Tuesday, November 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the staff lounge. The council members include:

WASC - Dan Dupont and Jennifer Graves are working hard to complete our school profile and prepare the WASC documents, along with our Single Plan for Student Achievement. We are fortunate to have Nadine Elwood, from Esperanza, to assist us in getting everything we need to meet state and district requirements. A big thank you to Dan and Jennifer for taking on this challenge.
SWAT Exercise – Sunday – November 15 – Brea Police/Swat will be using our school for a Swat Team exercise. “It is just an exercise”.
