WASC Monday - Here it is – our very first WASC visitation. This will be an exciting day for us. Please welcome Dr. Warren Stephenson and Mr. Shawn Ashley, our WASC team. You will also have an opportunity to visit with them during our luncheon potluck!
Did you Hear? - The latest numbers for student using our library this past month - “check-outs” 1,439, with 4,575 since we opened the doors in November. Roseann and Precious have been working hard with parent volunteers to get our textbooks ready for “central checkout” during registration in August 2010. Great job – Roseann and Precious!
Vocal Music Program - has had its ups and downs this year. The teacher left at the end of first semester (the down) and Ruth Freiman from Cal State Fullerton and previous vocal director at several high schools stepped in to help (the up!) Even more “Up” is Bincins Garcia, Band Director, taking over the planning of all the end of the year vocal program activities, including getting choir T-shirts, having choir and band in the end of the year banquet and helping with hiring of the new vocal director. Great job Bincins! – and thanks and great job – Ruth!
GREASE - Cathy Petz and the YLHS Theatre Department present “Grease”, our very first musical. The play opens March 24 and runs through the 27th at 7:30 p.m. in the Forum Theater. Come out and watch our kids and especially our very own Vince Fontaine aka Jason Kaylor.
