Principal's Weekly Update #28

Congratulations to YLHS Staff – for a terrific 8th Grade Parent Night “Round-up Night”. Stating at 6:00 p.m., we had tables set up for all of our booster groups, clubs and elective programs to meet and answer questions for our incoming 8th grade parents. At 7:00 p.m., we moved into the gym, which as filled with parents and students. Jason then introduced all the 8th grade students to the “Mustang” way to get connected!! Parents went with Lorri and Nancy to hear about high school academics and activities. Both counselors had a full venue – in the library and band room.

A BIG THANK YOU to Jennifer, Lorri and Nancy for the DVD, Power Point and presentation to approximately 400 parents. Also a BIG THANK YOU to Jason, along with ASB, Cheer, Drama, Drum line, vocal and link crew leaders for an outstanding presentation to “connect” over 400 incoming 8th graders to YLHS. The energy and excitement from everyone, including parents was unbelievable. This is the “best” YLHS has to offer. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!!
