Did you Hear? – YLHS has 7 National Merit “Commended Scholars” for the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. The following 7 “Mustangs” were among the 34,000 or 1.5 million students across the nation identified as Commended Scholars for their high achievement on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Congratulations to: Steve Cheng Michelle Hom Ryan Ice William Kim Ryan Leeds Kevin Pham Miguel Sheker. We will be recognizing our National Merit Semi-finalists and Commended Scholars at Senior Award in the Spring – GREAT JOB!!

YLHS Band and Color Guard - field show music looks and sounds terrific during our half time shows at our home games. They are also preparing for a busy season of parades and field shows across Southern California. Good Luck to all of our performers. Thank you Bincins!!
Senior Parent Night – Last Tuesday evening our YLHS Counselors presented “Senior Parent Night” to a packed house in our Forum Theater. Lorri, Nancy and Peyton discussed college application timelines, requirements, along with financial aid and transcript request. This past week they also meet with our seniors to discuss applications and deadlines. The next step – each one will meet with their seniors, one-on-one to discuss individual plans and recommendations. Great job Student Services and thank you Lorri, Nancy and Peyton.
