Congratulations to YLHS Band and Color Guard – for their 1st place awards at the Placentia Parade and Valencia Field Show. Great Job, Mr. Garcia and your students! The next competition/parade is the Loara Parade and Tournament in Anaheim on October 27th. Good luck!! – and GO MUSTANGS!

Pass the Word! – Fiesta Days Parade for the City of Yorba Linda will be on November 10th. On the schedule for the day – parade, 5k walk/run, pancake breakfast, street fair, youth talent competition and live entertainment. The parade route runs along Imperial Hwy. and ends at Main Street. The event President, Craig Hall, is reaching out to our students and clubs to enter the 5k walk/run, youth talent competition, along with enjoying a great community activity. Wednesday Evening, October 24th, the YLHS Band and Color Guard - will be hosting 8-12 local bands for a field show competition. If you want to see and hear some terrific young adults perform their field shows, stop by our very own Shapell Stadium. Admission is free to our staff with their staff I.D. card. Performances run from 6:15 – 8:15 p.m. Good Luck, Mustangs!!

Friday Evening, October 26th, YLHS Orchestras
- are performing a free concert in the Forum Theater at 7:00 p.m. It will be a great evening to relax and enjoy works by Haydn, Mozart, Mahler and Saint-Saens and listening to our very talented orchestra musicians! A Big Thank You to Phil Mortensen, Orchestra Director!
