YLHS PTSA is Sponsoring The National PTA Reflection Program - The 2014-15 theme is, “The world would be a better place if . . .” Student entries for the competition include dance, film, literature, music, photography and visual arts.  Applications and information have been handed (or will be handed) out to each of the departments and staff, along with additional forms in counseling and the library. Encourage yours tduetns to get involved in the program. It is a great way to showcase their talent, not only to our community but maybe even in the state and national competition.

Club Rush Week - starts Monday, September 29th through Wednesday October 1st. We have over 50 clubs on campus for students to “get connected”. A list of students that need to be released the last ten minutes of 4th period was sent Thursday. This will give them time to set up their tables and signs to get ready for lunch.  Thank you for supporting this event and to all of our staff advisors for sponsoring our clubs. ASB and Shea have been busy approving the list of 2014-15 YLHS clubs.

2014-15 Curriculum Council Meetings - are scheduled for the following dates:
Tuesday, October 7th
Tuesday, January 27th
March 24th
May 26th
A Big Thank You to Dan Eliot, our teacher rep, and Jamie Jauch, our Admin rep, at these meetings.

Thought for the Week
“Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritations
and resentments slip away, and a sunny spirit takes their place.” Mark Twain
