A Big Thank You to PTSA Student Leadership - for the great breakfast this morning to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week and the All Staff Faculty Meeting. Thank you!! Our wonderful PTSA will be hosting a luncheon for you next week for their appreciation for all you do! It will be held on Thursday, May 14th in the library. (Due to AP testing and library usage, the best day for this luncheon is next week.)
“Dancing Forever After” - program starts this Thursday, May 7th @ 7:00 p.m. and runs through Saturday, May 9th. Our YLHS Dance Company has been working hard, along with their coach, Meshell Maes, to put on a great show. Come out and see our talented Mustang dancers!!
Congratulations to YLHS Jazz I and II - for their performances at the Reno Jazz Festival last weekend. Under the direction of Bincins Garcia, Jazz I placed 5th in their division, while Jazz II place 2nd. This event hosts the best high school and college jazz bands in the western United States at the University of Nevada, Reno. Great job Mustang musicians!!
YLHS Speech and Debate Team - recently were invited to participate in the California State Speech and Debate Competition. Congratulations to the following Mustangs for qualifying for this prestigious event: Caroline Birchfield, Ryan Birchfield, Mia Frankel, Sammy Kassab, Samantha Kuo, Jenny Nagel, Kelly Nguyen, Darshan Patel, Aleeha Kalam and teacher/sponsor Charlene Dagampant for all her hard work!
