PTSA – Academic Mustang Awards – Monday, April 11th 6:30 @ Friend’s Church – Lakeview - Come out and see 400 of our Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors recognized for outstanding academic performance @ YLHS. It is especially fun to hear where all of the Seniors will be headed next year for college. A Big Thank You to PTSA Academic Mustang Chairs – Kimberly Dole and Lynda Wynn!
Don’t Forget – School Board Meeting Recognitions – Our PYLUSD Teacher of the Year, Rey Lejano, Classified Employee of the Year, Fred Fonseca, and Manager of the year Dave Flynn, will be honored at the School Board presentation next Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office Board Room. It would be great to see as many of our “Mustangs” there to support them.
Senior Class Visits – Tuesday, 4/12 and Wednesday, 4/13 - Shea and I will be visiting Senior Government and Economics classes to discuss graduation expectations and what to expect in the next nine weeks of their senior year.
2016 Class Valedictorians are – Evelyn Chan and Catherine Han. Both of these young ladies have excelled in the number of courses they have taken and outstanding grades in 28 honors and AP classes in seven semesters. Each one currently has six AP classes, along with three electives. Outstanding students and young ladies!! Congratulations Evelyn and Catherine.
