Teacher Appreciation Week - A Big Thank You to our PTSA Student Leadership Group for our Teacher Appreciation Breakfast last Monday and to our PTSA parent group for the Thursday Teacher Appreciation Luncheon from Mendocino Farms. Great food and conversation!! Thank you ASB for the Teacher Appreciation gifts – “YLHS Staff Rocks” 2015-16.
Did You Hear? -
• YLHS Jazz 1 took home a silver medal from the 2016 International Reno Jazz Festival with “superior marks”. Our Jazz Band competed with over 200 bands from across the western United States. Congratulations, Mr. Garcia and 2015-16 Jazz1!
• Yorba Linda’s Women’s Club held their scholarship recognition program on Thursday evening. The Women’s Club awards over $20,000 in scholarships to students that live in the Placentia-Yorba Linda area. The following “Mustangs” won from $50 - $1000 in scholarship money.

3. YL Jazz Jam, Wednesday, May 25th @ PYLUSD Performing Arts Center (El Dorado HS). Guest Artist – Eric Marrental. It will be a night of great music. Make sure to see Bincins Garcia for tickets.
