Principal's Weekly Update #255

First – I Want to Say Thank You - to everyone for your support of students, parents and especially each other during the events last Friday and on Wednesday with student generated recognition of the students and staff who lost their lives at Marjory Douglas Stoneman High School. We never know what each day will bring, but I do know I can expect the very best from everyone I work with. From a parent on March 14th, “Thank you for the way YLHS handled that walkout situation today. Class Act.”  I have a T-shirt from several years ago that says, “WE ARE the Rest of the Story”. That says it all – the care for our students and each other makes this a very special place!!

If you have Daania Kalam, Nikita Kneni, Kelly Nguyen, Spencer Kim or Marco Gazich in class, let them know they did a terrific job of organizing the remembrance.

Thank You Math Department and ASB Students - for Pi Day 2018. It was a great way to get everyone involved in a positive – fun lunchtime activity. March can be a long month and Pi Day adds the boost of energy and lots of smiles to keep us going!!
