I hope the first week of the new semester went well and everyone is off to a fresh start for spring 2019.

Congratulations to senior, Andrew Song
, for his selection by the Society for Science and the Public and Regeneron as one of the top 300 young scientists of the 78th annual Regeneron Science Talent Search. His AP Chemistry Teacher, Tiffany Ward, was also recognized as a result of Andrew’s distinction. Both Andrew and Tiffany received certificates and $2,000 each. Andrew will use his to further his education, while Tiffany will use hers to benefit her AP Chemistry students.
The Regeneron Science Talent Search scholars were selected from 1,964 applications, which were received from 601 high schools in 48 states, two U.S. territories and eligible students living in seven other countries. The scholars were selected based on their exceptional research skills, commitment to academics, innovative thinking and promise as scientists.
