A student at Yorba Linda High School has recently been reported with chickenpox. Chickenpox is not usually a serious illness; however, any person who develops chickenpox should stay at home until the rash has completely crusted over (usually about 5 days from the time the rash started) to prevent further spread of infection. Storm Update: 2pm, 01-19-2010. During the past hour, YLHS was hit with a major storm cell, including rain, high winds, and lightning. Students were kept in their 5th period classes for an extended period until the storm danger passed. The weather is now back to "normal".
YLHS – AP and Honors Parent Night Presentation – is Wednesday, January 20th, 7:00 p.m. in the Forum Theater. This evening presentation will let our community know what honors and AP classes we will offer, along with the expectations for success in each level and course. Jennifer Graves, Lorri Walls and Nancy Coulter will present an overview of the registration process and timeline.

Bell Schedules were updated to reflect the move to the new classroom building. Class time was INCREASED, due to the shorter distance between classrooms! <a href="http://www.ylhs.org/students/bell_schedule.jsp?rn=7037841">Click HERE</a> to see the updated Bell Schedule.
When students report on Monday, January 4th, 2010 they will be issued new classroom locators. Many (but not all) classes will be in the newly completed Classroom Wing. Some classes, including; Science, Art, Photography, and Computer classes, will continue in the 300 and 400 buildings. Students should refer to their schedule locator for exact changes.

We are going to do one more yearbook sale at the registration price on October 2nd at break. The price is 105 with ASB and 115 without ASB. The price will go up after this date. Students can also purchase personalizations for their yearbook the same day. If students would like to get their names engraved on their yearbook, it is $6.00. Students can also order icons to make their yearbook special. Each icon is $4.00 and students can select up to 4 icons. If you write a check, please make it payable to YLHS. Cash is also accepted. Women’s Basketball tryouts will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 24 from 6:00 -7:30 pm at the YLHS gym. All players must have their physicals and clearance packets turned in before tryouts. Any questions contact Coach Hill in room 408.
