Honors Biology (Period 3 & 4)

Course Description

Honors Biology is designed to give students an understanding of living organims and the various processes that drive living systems.  Through a rigorous curriculum and phenoma based instruction, students will have the opportunity to develop the skill sets necessary to convey an understanding of complex biological concepts.  Additionally, through laboratory exploration and the construction of models, students will gain an ability to explain the various phenoma observed. Topics for this class include: macromolecules, cells, genetics, energetics, ecology and the evolution of microorganisms, plants and animals.  We will delve into the impact humans have both locally and globally.
