- Hello! I am Mr. Lejano and this is my 11th year teaching. I grew up in Fullerton, California where I played a lot of tennis and graduated from Sonora High School. I lived in Providence, Rhode Island where I graduated from Brown University with a bachelors of arts in History while successfully completing the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program. My student-teaching took place at Central High School in downtown Providence. I moved back to southern California to be closer to friends and family and spent my first year teaching US and World History at Ganesha High School in Pomona. I had a wonderful five years teaching Economics, AP Economics and World History at Esperanza High School and coaching JV and Varsity tennis. The opportunity and privilege to contribute to the building of a new high school was too much to pass up and so I moved to Yorba Linda High School where I taught AP European History for the first two years and Economics and AP Macroeconomics for the past two years. I also spend quite a bit of time being the head coach for our Yorba Linda High School tennis teams. I am the faculty advisor for the Smart Energy Club, Future Business Leaders of America and the Interact Rotary Club. Two professional efforts that are near and dear to my heart are the YLHS Olympics and the "I Have A Dream" Speech Contest. While tennis is the sport that I play most often, I am enthralled with the challenge and unpredictability of sports as a whole and so I am an emphatic fan of most of the local professional sport teams. I feel extremely fortunate to be at Yorba Linda High School teaching and coaching tennis. Getting to work with and know my students and tennis players is a privilege that I value considerably.
