Some of you are having difficulty w thesis. Many of you are just responding w a bunch of different tinkgs and not keeping it focused. You have to keep it focused because each of the thesis POINTs you make represent a theme which will be addressed or argued in each of you body paragraphs. I'm going to first include a generic assess prompt that should be easy for you guys' to get. Then, i'll give you the the thesis that I think would work best for the AP prompt i gave you .

The Prompt for our AP LEQ was

"Discuss the ways in which European Jews were affected by and responded to liberalism, nationalism, and anti-Semitism in the ninteenth century."  Jews were affected by the Emancipation Acts, the new ideas on blood nationalism coupled with questionable science, and will respond by seeking a Jewish homeland 

for point one--talk about how jews benefited from the emancipation acts how things changed for them (good or bad), two blood nationalism (you could talk about latter 19th century was obsessed w scientific explanations regarding natural selection, race, blood, etc)and then speak on Zionism.
