- Mustang Business Academy (Business Management Pathway) - MBA
- Mustang Culinary Pathway (Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management Pathway) - MCA

Mustang Academies Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the requiremens for the Mustang Academies application?
A: Within the online application there are three requirements.
- Writing Prompt (short essay)
- Attach a copy of your middle school or 9th grade transcripts (unofficial transcripts are okay).
- Provide at least one teacher recommendation (google form for teacher to complete).
Q: How do I submit a teacher recommendation form?
A. The teacher recommendation google form is linked to the online application. Please forward (copy & paste) the link to your teacher for their completion. If you have difficulty accessing the teacher recommendation you can copy & paste this link: https://forms.gle/V8Q4ihduhdsmSgTr5
Q: What details are neeeded for choice transfer vs. CTE academy pathways?

Q: If I am a 9th-grade student at YLHS, can I still apply to the MBA or MBC?
A: Yes. Please submit all required documents, including your 9th-grade transcript. If you are in currently in 10th grade or above, you cannot apply to the Mustang Academies. Both programs are designed to be completed in 3 years.
Q: What are the courses required to complete the Business Academy?
A: If accepted into the business academy, students can take health and careers over the summer or after their 9th-grade year (courses are offered online). Students take Introduction to Business in the 9th or 10th grade, Business Communications & Technology in the 10th or 11th grade, and Business Management & Leadership in the 11th or 12th grade.
Q: What are the courses required to complete the Culinary Academy?
A: If accepted into the culinary academy, students can take health and careers over the summer or after their 9th-grade year (courses are offered online). Students take Introduction to Culinary Arts in 9th or 10th grade, Culinary Arts in the 10th or 11th grade, and Culinary & Hospitality Management in the 11th or 12th grade.
