Cancer Awareness T-shirts To Be Given Out At Football Game

In honor of Jack Benson, two-time cancer survivor and 5th grade student at Travis Ranch, the YLHS vs. El Dorado football game will be adopting his cause: Pediatric Cancer Awareness. The first 500 people on the YLHS side will be given a YL t-shirt with a special design commemorating pediatric cancer awareness. Donations of any amount will be accepted at the tables where the shirts will be given away! All donations will be sent to the G1veABuck Foundation. www.g1veabuckfund.org. It was a fast, furious, and successful “Ford Drive 4 UR School” on Sat. March 19th with 241 test drivers coming out to support 21 YLHS groups! Baseball team plays a game with Placentia Champions League

This past Sunday, our boys spent the morning playing baseball with players with special needs. Each YLHS player was partnered up with a PCL player from two teams. They work together playing the game. It was a fun and emotional day for all. Needless to say I was very proud of our players. --Coach Stine.

US News and World Reports High School Rankings

Yorba Linda High School was once again highly ranked in the US News and World Reports national survey of high schools. YLHS has attained a "US News Silver Ranking". YLHS was the #1 high school in the PYLUSD, the #165 high school in the state of California (top 6.5%), and the #1005 high school in the USA (top 3.5%). Staff emergency training and supplies

On Monday, February 22nd the entire Yorba Linda High School Staff was trained on the use of emergency supplies and what to do in an active shooter situation. Mustang Baseball donates 62 holiday trees and gifts to local families.

YLHS Baseball has teamed up with CSUF Dept of Ed. to donate children's presents and holiday trees to the needy families of Rio Vista and Melrose elementary schools. This past Saturday the team delivered and donated 62 trees to these families. Our players helped carry and tie the trees to their cars. A job well done Mustang baseball!

Band & Guard Receive Top Honors at SCSBOA Field Championships

On Saturday Nov. 21 the YLHS Mustang Band & Guard received top honors at the SCSBOA Field Championships. Earning the High Music Sweepstakes award and taking home the Silver Medal for the 2A division!!!
This years show "The Quest " was led by director Bincins Garcia & student leaders Rachel Ehlen, Matt Arsenault, Katherine Robison, and Nicole Espinoza. It is the highest marching band honor the program has received competing against over 30 high schools in Southern California!
