Senior Awards

Seniors. On Monday, May 23rd, YLHS will be hosting its annual Senior Awards Ceremony in the center quad. This invitation only event will be held at 5:30PM and will recognize outstanding seniors in academics, athletics, and the arts. We will also be handing out community scholarships, recognizing our valedictorians and salutatorians, and awarding our Male and Female Mustangs of the Year. Invitations are currently being mailed out. Again, this is an invitation only ceremony. We ask all honorees to dress nicely. Please be on the lookout for your invitation in the mail!

AP Exam Refund Deadline is TODAY, Friday April 29th at 3:00pm

AP Exam refund forms may be obtained from the Activities Office or Counseling Office. Refund forms must be filled out and signed by a parent and approved/signed by Mrs. Potter. Refund forms must then be turned in to the Activities Office NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 29!

US News And World Reports ranks YLHS as one of the nation's best high schools

Once again, Yorba Linda High School was ranked as one of the best high schools in the nation by US News and World Reports.  Our highest ranking to date placed YLHS as the #1 high school in the PYLUSD, the #145 school in California (top 6%), and the #1032 high school in the nation (top 3%).  Congratulations to our students, staff, and Mustang families for their hard work in making this happen. Women's Lacrosse has a strong 18-2 victory over El Modena

"Congratulations to our Varsity Women's Lacrosse team! They faced off in a league game and came out with an 18-2 win against El Modena High School. Goals were scored by Muraoka (#4), Delaney (#5), Olsen (#12), Guntle (#13), Romero (#15), Johnson (#19), Lee (#20), Ghandhi (#21), and Severson (#24). We celebrated our graduating seniors with a ceremony after the game. Great job ladies!

Mustangs Stick Together Art Installation Project

Hey Mustangs. Come join us in creating a schoolwide art installation that showcases your individuality. Our goal is that every student decorates a paint stick to be hung on display for all to see. The art rooms will have free materials on hand for you to use, and if you are lacking in ideas, we will be there to assist you. You may also choose to work from home. Either way, just transform your stick to showcase your unique self through the art of collage, painting, drawing, crafting, written text, etc. Your personal creation will help make connections to those around you and will be a highlighted installation at our student art show in May. 8th Grade Student/Parent “Round-Up” Night Wednesday, April 6th

Our 8th grade student/parent night will be Wednesday, April 6th. Starting at 5:30pm will be the MBA reception (for MBA families only). Then, at 6:00pm will be the YLHS "Programs Fair" in the upper-quad. The Programs Fair gives parents and students the opportunity to meet and talk to coaches and activity advisors. Coach Matt Stine honored by Fullerton College Baseball

On Saturday March 5th, YLHS baseball coach Matt Stine was honored by Fullerton College as part of their "Fullerton College Hornet Baseball Wall of Honor". This award is given to Hornet baseball players who have gone on and established themselves as important part of the wider baseball community. (September 28, 2021): The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) was recently made aware of an inappropriate poster created by students without the knowledge or authorization of staff at Yorba Linda High School. A picture of an individual holding the poster in question is now circulating on social media; however, the physical poster was never shared publicly on campus. We would like your USED shoes. If you have used pairs of ATHLETIC shoes and/or court shoes (including VANS), YLHS Basketball is having a SHOE DRIVE. This year's theme, "I Can Change the World by…” calls for your unique interpretation. Student Campus Tours (August 27 & August 30)

Our ASB/Link Crew will be hosting campus tours on Friday August 27th at 1:30pm and Monday August 30th at 1:00pm for any student who is interested in visiting the campus, meeting new people, and familiarizing themselves with the school before the school year officially starts on August 31st. This is highly recommended for new students or students attending school in-person for the 1st time. Students will meet outside the lower gym.

Good News - CIF Golf

Congratulations to our golf teams on a great season including Patrick Song winning the CIF Central Region Tournament! Patrick shot a 69 at Redhawk Golf Course in Temecula to secure the victory.

Calling all Juniors and Seniors! Link Crew needs you! The Freshman class needs you!

Link Crew is YLHS’s transition program that helps to welcome our new freshmen class to the Mustang family. We are looking for members of next year's junior and senior class who want to be positive role models, motivators and mentors to help guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during their move to YLHS. Our program helps freshmen create connections on campus in a small group setting through leader lead games and activities. In addition we encourage participation in school activities to instill Mustang pride and spirit. Applications no longer being accepted for fall 2021.

Cheer and Song Win At USA Nationals

Congratulations to the YLHS cheer and song program. They competed for the first time ever in the "game day" divisions at USA Nationals and walked away with three 2nd place finishes. Tryouts for next year's teams are coming up.
