ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION: YOUR TEEN'S SILENT BATTLE (11/14/17)
Parents will be the tools for identifying anxiety and depression in their teens.  Speakers will discuss tips on supporting the student.

TEEN DRIVER SAFETY (11/7/16)

Speaker will discuss what law violations they are currently seeing with YLHS students. Common violations they cite for, parent's misconceptions about the laws regarding provisional driver's license, and the consequences once the teen is cited into court.

HEARTSAVER CPR & AED CERTIFICATION (4/4/16)

CURRENT DRUG TRENDS (3/14/16)
Do you know what Tango, wax, KIK, Spice, Omegle and Triple Cs have in common? The answer is that your kids know all about them and you don't! Deputy N. Holmes of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will be presenting current drug trends at YLHS. This presentation is intended for parents only and is free of charge.
 
HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CERTIFICATION (CANCELLED)
The CPR Hero will train you on first aid basics; to recognize emergency symptoms, signs of concussion, stroke, diabetes, seizures, bleeding control, splinting & fractures, bites, snakes, allergies & anaphylaxis (epipen injection), and asthma. TEEN DRIVER SURVIVAL (2/1/16)
MasterDrive will teach you how to maximize your child’s chances to survive our driving environment and learn what a teen driver needs to become a safer driver. This presentation is intended for students and their parents. Please email ylhsparented@yahoo.com if you will be attending. A $5.00 donation is requested at the door.
 
SELF DEFENSE CLASS (1/11/16)
Master Kim of World Martial Arts Studio will be teaching basic self defense techniques. You will gain confidence learning how to defend yourself. You must be 12 years old or older to attend. Please email ylhsparented@yahoo.com if you will be attending. Class size is limited. A $5.00 donation is requested at the door.
 
CYBER SAFETY PRESENTATION (11/9/15)
Deputy N. Holmes of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will be discussing internet and cell phone safety. Learn the newest, scariest apps, websites etc. that you need to be aware of. This presentation is intended for parents only and is free of charge.
