ROP
WHAT IS ROP?
- ROP stands for Regional Occupational Program. ROP classes offer hands-on job training and education for high school students.
WHAT CAN ROP DO FOR YOU?
- ROP classes help students develop entry-level job skills and life skills needed for success.
- ROP classes provided an opportunity for students to "test the waters" in a career area before they get to college and have to choose a major.
- ROP training generally means starting at a wage that is higher than the minimum because you have education/training/skills that make you more valuable to the employer.
- ROP classes provide elective options and credits needed for graduation.
- ROP classes allow students to by-pass an entry-level class required for a major at a community college.
WHERE ARE ROP CLASSES LOCATED?
- ROP classes are located on the Yorba Linda High School campus. Most are located on other high school campuses or various ROP sites located in north Orange County.
- If the class is not offered on this campus the student must arrange transportation.
